7.5 Remuneration

Figures 4 to 6 provide sample texts included in service agreements regarding remuneration.

Remuneration based on commission

For remuneration based on commission it is common to set commission as a percentage of realized net turnover by the freelancer.

Remuneration based on fixed or standard fee

  • In the example included in figure 5, item 1 Party A contracts Party B for the delivery of a service against a fixed fee for full delivery of the service.
  • In the example included in figure 5, item 2 Party A contracts Party B to provide standardized services against a standard fee per service. The total service fee payable equals the number of services provided against the standard service fee.

Remuneration based on revenue sharing

In the example included in figure 6 Party A and Party B cooperate for delivery of a corporate training event. Party A and Part B carry out different roles and responsibilities whereas Party A will facilitate the training and Party B provides for the actual training content and delivery.

Under such constructs, parties shall agree on the service fee chargeable to participants and allocation of revenue and associated costs.
