Last Friday 7 November in Shanghai, Dr. Richard van Ostende had the honor of being invited as a keynote speaker at the 2025 CIIE Shaanxi Yangling Foreign-Invested Enterprises Cooperation Forum.
Drawing from personal experiences, his professional journey as well as his doctoral research on the strategic determinants influencing Dutch enterprises’ foreign direct investment into China, he shared insights on the development of foreign investment in China, starting with trade towards initial investment, resulting in building an industrial ecosystem.
The forum brought together representatives from Shaanxi Yangling, as well as Chinese and European entrepreneurs and professionals, to exchange views and explore opportunities for cooperation.
