Course Overview
In this masterclass, you will develop a practical understanding of the different types of employment contracts used in China, including individual, collective and part-time employment arrangements, as well as the key legal requirements governing each type.
To bridge the gap between legislation and practical application, the masterclass provides practical examples of contract provisions based on the PRC Labor Contract Law. Each provision is explained in terms of its purpose, meaning and practical implications, helping you understand how key contractual provisions are structured and applied in practice.
The masterclass also examines the important role of the employment handbook in managing employment relationships in China. The handbook provides a framework for communicating company policies, employee rights and workplace obligations. More than an administrative document, it can serve as an important extension of the employment relationship and a practical tool for establishing clear and consistent workplace rules.
