Our focus towards sustainability
Sustainable Development Goals
On 25 September 2015 the Member States of the United Nations adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, with the aim to achieve these goals by 2030 with a view towards ending all forms of poverty, fighting inequalities, and tackling climate change while ensuring that no one is left behind. The United Nations’ objective has been to create positive and hopeful language that will be a constant thread through all efforts to support the Sustainable Development Goals, strengthening the sense that we are all in this together and are working toward the same objective. The United Nations’ aim is that this will inspire and help carry the promise of a better world forward.
We support the Sustainable Development Goals. Our focus is to contribute to the realization of the following interconnected goals.
Quality Education
Achieving inclusive and quality education for all reaffirms the belief that education is one of the most powerful and proven vehicles for sustainable development. This goal ensures that all girls and boys complete free primary and secondary schooling by 2030. It also aims to provide equal access to affordable vocational training, to eliminate gender and wealth disparities, and achieve universal access to a quality higher education.
We believe in inclusive quality education accessible for all.
Gender Equality
Ending all discrimination against women and girls is not only a basic human right, but also crucial for sustainable future; it’s proven that empowering women and girls helps economic growth and development.
Our community – our faculty, expert contributors we work with, and our student body are all considered equal. We admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to all students at the college. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of our educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, other administered programs.
Decent Work and Economic Growth
The Sustainable Development Goals promote sustained economic growth, higher levels of productivity and technological innovation. Encouraging entrepreneurship and job creation are key to this, as are effective measures to eradicate forced labor, slavery, and human trafficking. With these targets in mind, the goal is to achieve full and productive employment, and decent work, for all women and men by 2030.
